About Debra
Debra Neal, international trainer, consultant, author, and therapist, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and certified in addictions.
With heart, she has served the behavioral health field for over two decades and worked across treatment continuums with mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring populations.
A member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers since 2008, Debra and began her work in Motivational Interviewing in a workshop with Dr. William Miller in 2000.
Debra practiced MI techniques in her private practice and in her skills-based training programs.
Ms. Neal specializes in preparing and readying professionals across disciplines for personal and professional change as part of the process for working more effectively with individuals and groups.
Her work includes training clinical supervisors for supervising MI with proficiency, and how to incorporate MI with other evidenced-based practices.
